Claire Goldman-Miller, ALMFT

(She/Her/Hers)

Staff Psychotherapist

I’ve always known I wanted to go into the field of therapy. Even from a young age, I found myself drawn to helping and understanding people. Now, as a therapist, that translates into offering my clients a nonjudgmental, positive, and personalized experience in a safe and collaborative environment. I aim to keep the therapeutic process as organic, authentic, and comfortable as possible, while still exploring and challenging the hard stuff.

Who I serve

With a degree in Marriage and Family therapy and specialization in Professional Counseling, I have education and experience that has prepared me for working both with individuals and relationally, with romantic partners or families. I offer unique support and understanding to clients who are exploring their LGBTQIA+ identities or relationships, or those who are exploring alternative relationship styles such as ethical non-monogamy or open relationships. I also specialize in working with first responders; as a former first responder myself with a continued passion for the field, I have empathy and insight for the many challenges that come with this line of work, both for the individual and their loved ones.

My practice is integrative, blending different therapeutic approaches to create an individualized treatment for the client(s) based on their needs and goals in therapy. I take a direct, compassionate, collaborative, and often solution-oriented approach to sessions in which I believe the client is the expert of their own lives. I also am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, which can facilitate healing for all types of trauma, whether it was a bad call as a first responder, losing a loved one, or a childhood experience, to name a few. EMDR can be a really powerful tool for a variety of individuals.
